Home

Home is not walls, nor roof, floor, nor a set of french doors.
Home is a state of mind.
It’s a place we go to become ourselves
Home can be traveling the autobahn
It can be playing video games alongside friends with laughter vibrating in the airwaves
It’s finding a companion who needs you and learning you need them too
Home is a decision, a choice that this is where I’m most comfortable, this is where I can be myself.
Home is a state of mind, a state of being, and a statement of self.

J.D Mullenary Sr., a.k.a. AbnormalVAverage, is a teacher and Esports coach based in Texas. He grew up on the beach in California, enjoying its temperate climate and boundless enthusiasm for life. After completing his first degree at nineteen, he felt that he needed to grow up and discover new experiences. With that in mind, he joined the military, earning a second degree in the process, and served for four years. After receiving his honorable discharge, he married the love of his life, helped raise his two sons, and returned to college with a focus on English and teaching. Now, he spends his time writing when he can, teaching students and Esports players the values of critical thinking, while still fostering all of the strays his wife brings to their home.
