I…..Feel it

I Feel it pounding, not unlike a heartbeat, this

Strange and knowing feeling, driving me, driving my soul

I…..Feel it

Striking my mind, berating my soul, saying

Why, why are you not he you wish to be

I…..Control it

I am who I choose to be I scream, the past

Screams…..saying, you lie, you are what needs to be

I…..Refute it

I alone create reflection

I alone strike the match

J.D Mullenary Sr., a.k.a. AbnormalVAverage, is a teacher and Esports coach based in Texas. He grew up on the beach in California, enjoying its temperate climate and boundless enthusiasm for life. After completing his first degree at nineteen, he felt that he needed to grow up and discover new experiences. With that in mind, he joined the military, earning a second degree in the process, and served for four years. After receiving his honorable discharge, he married the love of his life, helped raise his two sons, and returned to college with a focus on English and teaching. Now, he spends his time writing when he can, teaching students and Esports players the values of critical thinking, while still fostering all of the strays his wife brings to their home.
