Gnomic Father Pt. 2

Time to clean up now,

go grab the broom

A tidy house this allows,

you’ll understand real soon

Nice and even strokes,

no reason to hurry

The idea this evokes,

of feeling clean and not dirty

Slide the dustpan along,

grabbing the weekslong remains

No reason to live wrong,

breathing our own pains

Now the easy part, throwing it all away

Slide our parts to the trash, preparing for new days

J.D Mullenary Sr., a.k.a. AbnormalVAverage, is a teacher and Esports coach based in Texas. He grew up on the beach in California, enjoying its temperate climate and boundless enthusiasm for life. After completing his first degree at nineteen, he felt that he needed to grow up and discover new experiences. With that in mind, he joined the military, earning a second degree in the process, and served for four years. After receiving his honorable discharge, he married the love of his life, helped raise his two sons, and returned to college with a focus on English and teaching. Now, he spends his time writing when he can, teaching students and Esports players the values of critical thinking, while still fostering all of the strays his wife brings to their home.
